P H E L A N re-defines modern footwear: for one luxurious sole, a multitude of interchangeable, covetable uppers to dress your feet. Each handmade leather sole, while shaping itself to comfort the foot, welcomes countless possibilities for expression, from strappy summer sandal to glamorous, bejeweled design for evening. New York designer Chris Ann Phelan created the artisanal line of sandals in 2008. "I want the wearer to enjoy the many facets of their shoes and the ease of switching from one upper to another," she says. The soles are manufactured in Mexico City, Mexico, where artists oversee each step of the manufacturing process. "How we manufacture and where we get a product are important parts of the equation for me," she says.

Joyas are bejeweled luxury sandals comprised of authentic semi-precious stones - quartz, cornelian and turquoise set upon bands of gold. This line is imbued with Chris Ann's discoveries and memories of Mexico City, including the murals of Diego Rivera at the Palacio de las Bellas Artes to the "House of Tiles".
